Rail Trail Proposal

Last modified: November 2, 2009 - 9:16 PM

Gundagai Shire Council is considering a proposal for the development of the old disused railway corridor into a RAIL TRAIL.  The trail will be for recreational use for cyclists, walkers and horse riders.  The proposal includes the rail line between Coolac and Tumblong.

These facilities, when established in other areas have produced significant economic benefits as well as recreational and employment opportunities.
